Privacy Policy

The short version: JigSteps collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no data leaving your device. The rest of this page exists because the Play Store requires a policy — not because there's much to disclose.

What JigSteps collects

Nothing. JigSteps runs entirely on your phone. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no background data collection of any kind. The app doesn't know who you are, and has no way to find out.

Knife Diary export and import

The Knife Diary can export your records to a CSV file, and import one back in, using your device's own file picker. Where that file ends up — local storage, Google Drive, a USB drive, wherever you point it — is entirely your choice. JigSteps has no visibility into, and no connection to, wherever the file is saved or read from.

Google Play Store

JigSteps is distributed and sold through Google Play. Anything related to your Google account, app purchases, or Play Store activity is handled by Google, under Google's own Privacy Policy — not this one.

Children's privacy

JigSteps isn't directed at children, and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — since it doesn't collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If anything here ever changes, this page will be updated directly. There's no mailing list to maintain and no notification to send — JigSteps doesn't collect contact details from users, so this page is the only place the policy lives.
